Journal of Modern Humanities and Social Sciences (JMHSS) (Print ISSN: -; Online ISSN: -) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Hong Kong Information Education Publishing Company Limited. JMHSS publishes twelve issues each year in Chinese.
Scope and Topics
Journal of Modern Humanities and Social Sciences (JMHSS) is committed to promoting innovative research and interdisciplinary integration in the fields of modern humanities and social sciences, and to exploring cutting-edge theories, research methodologies, practical applications and disciplinary development of contemporary humanities and social sciences. It encompasses a wide and in-depth range of topics, including but not limited to: literary theory and modern literature studies; linguistics and applied linguistics; cultural studies and cultural communication; philosophy and ideological studies; history and historical civilization research; sociology and social governance; political science and public administration; law and social rule of law construction; economics and industrial economic research; management science and public management; journalism, communication and new media research; education theory and educational practice; art theory and contemporary artistic creation; anthropology and folk culture research; regional culture and cross-cultural communication; international relations and comparative social research; digital humanities and cultural innovation; social psychology and human behavior research; urban and rural social development; public policy and social welfare; as well as emerging interdisciplinary research covering humanities and social sciences fields.
The journal advocates open, inclusive and interdisciplinary research perspectives, adheres to standardized and rigorous international academic standards, and focuses on innovative, practical and forward-looking academic achievements. It does not establish fixed sections in advance and welcomes high-quality scholarly contributions addressing the above themes (without being limited to them). In order to reflect the latest academic trends, research hotspots and disciplinary developments in the field of modern humanities and social sciences in a timely manner, the journal also accepts, on a rolling basis, interviews with leading scholars, academic commentaries and professional book reviews in related fields. The format and stylistic requirements for such submissions are consistent with those for formal research articles.
Open Access Policy
JMHSS is a fully open access journal that provides immediate and permanent free access to all published content for all users worldwide without requiring any article processing charges (APCs) or subscription fees. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted sharing, distribution, and reuse with proper attribution. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal publishing rights. We support responsible scholarly sharing by permitting authors to deposit preprints in any repository without embargo and postprints immediately upon publication. This sustainable model maintains the highest standards of peer review and editorial quality while eliminating financial barriers to knowledge dissemination.
